The Variance of CrossFit. What describes CrossFit? “General Physical Preparedness” or GPP. Next you would go into constantly varied, high intensity, and functional movement! See the fun in functional smile emoticon Now we go into the variance of CrossFit. What variance is not is limiting your programming. Variance does not mean random. It is not the same thing over and over again. Now what variance is, is load, time, and what moves are in the workout. It is the different reps. Different movements. And different time domains. So when we say your won’t be doing the same workout twice (unless it’s a benchmark workout to test your fitness) you really won’t be doing the same workout twice. It’s always going to be varied. They will always be different. That’s where the variance comes into play. Just a little words of wisdom to know how your programming at your gym is built from week to week!
