MEMBERS TESTIMONIAL

Name: Ericka
Age: what??? Ppppfffttttttt.
Time with CrossFit 622: since about February 2015
Goal of the program: Minimize laziness and get in shape!
PRs hit (and any detail or comments on these PRs): PR on the daily! JK Hahaha! I went from never lifting or having a gym membership to a 200# deadlift and 140# back squat. That’s pretty neat!
Overall review of the program with as much detail as you feel necessary

(positive comments are welcomed and encouraged): I am constantly encouraged and pushed to try new things, even if I don’t want to, and supported by a caring group of friends. I look forward to my WODs and get excited about setting new PRs. It’s both awesome and unexpected.

(positive comments are welcomed and encouraged): I am extremely happy I found Crossfit 622. I have had nothing but encouragement from Alex, Bre, and Marcos and that makes for a great environment! I LOVE the Uplift class and I LOVE the regular Crossfit classes! So basically, in a nutshell, LOVE THIS PLACE (despite the fact that my arms are very sore today from yesterday’s wod 🙂

Name: Derek McLain
Age: 26
Time with CrossFit 622: ~10 Months
Goal of the program: I came into 622 with a fair amount of lifting experience, but had always had hip and ankle mobility issues that held me back. Obviously, I wanted to address these and increase my overall strength. My shoulders have also always been on the weak side, so it was another major goal to work on them and my core stability.

PRs hit (and any detail or comments on these PRs):
Bench – 195
Back Squat – 255
Front Squat – 235
Deadlift – 305
Squat Clean – 195
Squat Snatch – 125
Clean and Jerk – 145

The coaches here are awesome. I’ve had a few physical issues over the last year and they’re always accommodating to what I can do. They still manage to push me on a regular basis and always give prompt feedback to correct whatever errors I have in my technique. Considering where I started from (with my deadlift at about 250, neither squat over 200, cleans at 125, bench at 155, and snatch at 75) I would have to say I’ve made significant progress in the last 10 months. Especially when you consider I started with some shoulder problems and have been dealing with an unrelated illness that limited my workouts for about half the time I’ve been here. Beyond that, I’ve got a ton more endurance and have learned how to actually pace myself properly to finish longer workouts. My core and shoulder strength still needs a lot of work, but I’m confident that sticking with this program has already helped and will get me where I want to be.
